In this blog post, we hear from our real bride Dianna who shares her experience with wedding dress shopping and planning her dream wedding. She had a vision of a relaxed but romantic wedding day and was able to achieve it with the help of a personal stylist and family support. Despite unexpected rain on the wedding day, she had a perfect day and offers advice to future brides to savor the moments of the day and not worry about things that are out of their control.
Dianna looked absolutely stunning in Christi, a dreamy A-line gown! The deep sweetheart neckline and decadent lace appliqués lend a romantic feel while the organza and lace skirt cascades into a stunning train to complete this look!
By our real bride, Dianna:
How was wedding dress shopping and wedding planning for you? What was your vision?
My vision was to have a very relaxed but romantic wedding day. We both knew the location we wanted and the vibe. Going wedding dress shopping was the best experience ever! I was so happy I booked the private party, it was so nice to have both moms and my girls there. Having a personal stylist was amazing, she did such a good job of listening to what our vibe was in order to understand what dresses would go best. She did an amazing job picking out many dresses for me to try on and I said yes to the second one I put on! From there on, the wedding planning went pretty smoothly. We were able to book the venue we wanted, the catering, makeup and hairstylist. Everything went exactly how we wanted, having family help was such a blessing.
How did it go the day-of?
The day of the wedding was perfect! Even though it was raining basically the entire day, it was perfect; the rain stopped right before our first look and pictures. During the ceremony it was so awesome to see everyone just standing there under umbrellas, and the reception was just magical and cozy. Everyone sitting wrapped in blankets, the lights twinkling above, a fairytale come true. I felt so beautiful and blessed.
What would be your advice to future brides?
You can plan and plan but it won't always go like you want. For us, it was the pouring rain at an outdoor wedding. But really, just soak in the moments of the day; it will literally fly by so don't worry about a thing and just enjoy the day.
