Welcome back to the Dearly Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, our real bride and her partner created a fall-themed wedding day dream! With a vision for an eclectic yet simple celebration, they created a day that was as beautiful as it was fun. Beacon Hill provided the perfect backdrop, offering both aesthetic charm and functional ease with everything from food to rentals all in one place. From a clever trivia game centerpiece to private vows and a first look, their wedding was filled with thoughtful touches that reflected their love and personality. Kate’s advice? Don’t sweat the small stuff—just savor the moment and celebrate the joy of love!
By our real bride, Kate:
What was the vision for your wedding?
We wanted a beautiful fall-themed wedding. We wanted it to be eclectic, but simple. Most of all, we wanted a party!! Beacon Hill was my top pick for functional/aesthetic purposes and also ended up making sense financially. Because we were planning our wedding from across the country, it was incredibly helpful to have the food, drink, rentals, etc all with one vendor. We keep talking about how much we loved our wedding and how fun it was - we're stoked!
How did it go the day-of?
Our day went great and it was so much more chaotic than I thought it'd be. The bridal party (myself included) ended up arriving an hour later than we had planned and that stressed me OUT. Everything ended up just fine. I was adamant that our ceremony was on time, so we just moved around some pictures. Our special touch was a QR code on our centerpieces that was linked to a trivia game about us. It was so much fun for guests and a great icebreaker at the tables. We only wish we'd had the DJ bring the trivia to people's attention so more guests would play. We did private vows and a first look before the ceremony and I HIGHLY recommend doing at least a first look. With a first look, you can get almost all your pictures done before the ceremony. Being able to see your partner beforehand also takes so much stress and pressure off of walking down the aisle.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
It's not that serious. Bridesmaid dress colors? Who does or doesn't get an invite? Your shoes? Centerpieces? Getting ready for outfits? It's one day and it really is just about you, your partner, and celebrating love. Savor it!
