Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, but it can also be an opportunity to create a day that perfectly reflects you and your partner's love story. For this bride, the planning process was a struggle at first, but after deciding to elope in the wilderness, everything started to fall into place. The couple's vision was for a small and intimate ceremony on a mountaintop, surrounded by the people they loved most. With a boho/western theme, the day was executed perfectly, with everything running smoothly from start to finish. In this blog post, the bride shares her advice for future brides, emphasizing the importance of planning a day that is true to you and your partner and accepting help from loved ones to make your special day stress-free.
Taylor looked absolutely AMAZING in our Sill gown by Wtoo. This is a mermaid-style gown made of the most comfortable, gorgeous crochet lace. The lace is strategically patterned to highlight curves. Side cutouts also accentuate the waistline and an illusion back has dainty buttons that go all the way up the spine. This gown is simple, comfy, and stunning.

How was wedding dress shopping and wedding planning for you? What was your vision?
We did an elopement-style wedding so most planning and shopping was pretty stress-free! We really struggled with planning our wedding at first but nothing we thought of seemed to feel right. My now-husband and I met in the wilderness working for separate outfitters so we naturally thought of getting married in that wilderness on a mountaintop and then things started to fall into place. We wanted our ceremony to be small and intimate especially since we only could get 14 horses up the mountain. We wanted the people we loved the most to witness our love and celebrate with us. We had a larger reception down at a base camp where we had everything we needed to throw a perfect campout and be able to host everyone else. We wanted the theme to be boho/western and I think we executed it.
How did it go the day-of?
Everything went so seamlessly! The day before, fires from the smoke filled the valleys, but the day of our wedding we woke up to completely blue clear skies. We had some first-time horse riders and had no issues riding up the mountain. It was perfect!
What would be your advice to future brides?
Everything you plan should be for you and your partner, it is your special day! Also, having all hands on deck is so helpful and less stressful; take all the help you can get so that you and your spouse can be present and soak up your perfect day.
